According to the company, Liquid Flashing is a two-component polymethyl methacrylate-based (PMMA) material for use on Sarnafil and Sikaplan roofing details. Liquid Flashing will be available in two grades: Liquid Flashing SW (summer-grade white) and Liquid Flashing WW (winter-grade white). The product is rainproof in 45 minutes and can be re-coated in one hour. It will work on metal, masonry, wood, plastic, concrete, and glass as well as all Sika membranes. It also is eligible for inclusion in Sika's System Warranty for as long as 20 years. “Liquid Flashing will help roofing contractors provide the building owner with a better flashing detail in difficult situations,” says Jay W. Thomas, vice president of marketing for Sika Roofing. “This new product will help contractors deliver a better finished product.”
