GAF rolled out the website at the International Roofing Expo in Las Vegas earlier this month. The company developed VR experiences for steep-slope (residential) and low-slope (commercial) roofs, both incorporating a 360-degree view, hot spots that highlight important roof features, and voice-overs.

The residential vignette takes place on a roof that is getting a complete new GAF Lifetime Roofing System, the company said. By touching hot spots on the screen, visitors activate a description of that particular roofing element, such as attic ventilation, roof penetrations, or hip and starter shingles.

The commercial experience is set on a low-slope commercial building and shows a TPO roofing system.

The GAF VR Experience can be used on any browser, although the company recommends using VR goggles on a smart phone if you want to really enjoy the show.
