This week, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced separate lawsuits against two home improvement contractors--Richard Gazelle of Revolution Roofing LLC and James McClanahan of JM Construction Home Improvement--for failing to complete promised services.

Gazelle is accused of performing incomplete and shoddy roof work after being paid more than $5,000 from local consumers in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

DeWine, in a statement, said the defendants have violated Ohio’s Consumer Sales Practices Act and that he seeks repayment to consumers, an end to any violation of the law, and civil penalties.
