A Connecticut man was arrested this week for allegedly taking nearly $16,000 from the same elderly woman that had previously been bamboozled by the man’s brother and father a few months back. This summer, Anthony Miguel, 23, and his father Steve Miguel, 35, were arrested after having contacted the elderly woman because she needed her garage door fixed. The woman this time called authorities for fear that she was being taken advantage of again. After conversations with authorities, it was revealed that the woman in the fall of 2015, spoke with another another man about a series of repairs that she had done. The projects included driveway paving and spraying protective coating on it along with repairing the garage’s roof.

The total cost was nearly $16,000 according to an affidavit. Yet, during the investigation it was revealed that there had not been any work done on the garage whatsoever and that the shingles were coated in moss and dirt and appear to not have been touched at all.
