In an article for Replacement Contractor's sister site, Remodeling, Paul Winans explores how you can be a facilitator for your employees while also being the boss. The facilitator maintains control, has the trust of his employees, and fosters a productive work environment. Winans explores three ways you can be a facilitator.

  1. Build Trust - Get to know your employees and take a genuine interest in their lives. Showing you care is a great way to build trust.
  2. Be Clear - Take the time to explain tasks to employees and make sure they understand what they are supposed to do.
  3. Catch Them Doing Something Right - Make sure you're actively keeping an eye out for tasks completed correctly. Then, tell your employees when they do something right and be clear as to why the task was performed properly.
