Wayne Lumber and Mulch, Inc., Wayne, W. Va., acquired another 27 OSHA violations on Sept. 2, after receiving 40 violations in 2014 reports EHS Today.
As a follow-up to the 2014 investigation, OSHA inspected Wayne Lumber and Mulch in April and found the 27 violations, nine of which were "proposed repeat." According to EHS, repeat violations include "failing to provide leg protection," and a "lack of an effective hazard communication training plan." OSHA also cited the company for multiple "alleged serious violations:"
- Electrical equipment not used in accordance with included instructions.
The company has 15 business days from the date of receiving the citations to comply with or contest the accusations and penalties.
