Trim is getting more sophisticated, with manufacturers making sure their products match nearly everyone else's, and expanding widths and thicknesses to meet the needs of all job sizes. Paintable, textured, and insulated trims also increase options for contractors, making it easier to spruce up trouble spots. “We have window sills, window crown mold, and 5-inch corner boards that make the home look more authentic,” says Mark Axelrod, director of marketing for Crane Performance Siding. These advances in trim design help to create a full look for a home, increasing curb appeal and client satisfaction.
Versatex. The company's Free-Foam cellular PVC trimboard is now offered in a reversible board featuring Timber Ridge Texture on one side, which is a perfect blend with fiber cement siding.
